Taray, Sacred Valley
One Huachuma, planted at the Taray Preservation Garden in the Sacred Valley.
What happens
A cutting is planted on the terraced hillside at Taray, and you can give it a name. We plant every cactus with prayers for the future.
A cutting goes in small. Growing one takes years, and the garden is planted for the years to come.
The names stick. There is a Huachuma at Taray called Larry and one called Hamid.
Already adopted
Ayni, Kukuli and Nala, on the hillside at Taray. The stones began with the people who came to plant, naming their cactus and setting a painted rock beside it.
Where it goes
Adopting a cactus supports the garden at Taray.
A general donation to the Foundation funds all of its work.
The terms of the gift, including when planting happens, are in our legal terms.
