An Immediate Need

Bring the Waters

The garden at Taray is watered by bucket from a nearby irrigation canal. We are raising the money to bring the water in by pipe.

Every gift made here is directed to this project.

By the Bucket how the garden is watered today

The water for the garden comes from an irrigation canal nearby. Until now, every plant has been watered from buckets carried by hand from the canal.

We want a longer lasting answer: pipes that bring the water from the canal to irrigate the cactus. That will greatly simplify the caretaking and help keep the soil and the cactus happy.

Several hundred Huachuma are in the ground today, and the terraces will hold five thousand.

The Second Altar water, from the West

In the way Miguel Mendiburu holds ceremony, water is the element of the second altar.

The waters come from the West, and they bring the prayer of clarity. It is the prayer of seeing one’s true nature, reflected back in the waters.

We hold this campaign in that prayer.

Where Your Gift Goes

A gift made here is a directed gift, to one project: water for the garden at Taray.

A general donation supports all of the Foundation’s work, and Adopt a Cactus plants one Huachuma on the hillside.
