Founder and Chairman

Hamid brings a unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern expertise to the Huachuma Foundation. His journey spans continents and disciplines, always guided by a deep reverence for ancient healing practices and a commitment to bridging diverse knowledge systems.

Key Experiences

  1. Plant Medicine: Extensive study of Huachuma (San Pedro) and other plant medicines in the Peruvian Amazon and Sacred Valley of Peru, learning from respected curanderos.
  2. Sound & Music: A seasoned Sound Practitioner with years of experience in sound meditation and therapeutic applications of music.
  3. Traditional Healing Arts: Holds certifications in various modalities including Thai Massage, yoga (E-RYT 500), and health coaching.
  4. Academic Background: Holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from UCLA and a Bachelor of Music from NYU.

Philosophy

Hamid’s approach is rooted in the belief that ancient wisdom, when combined with modern understanding, can offer profound healing and transformation. He sees Huachuma as a teacher, a bridge to deeper self-awareness and connection with nature.
