Huachuma Foundation, Inc. is an incorporated Arizona non-profit and a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Its EIN is 39-4000144 and the IRS recognized its exemption in December 2025. Its purposes are preservation, education and community.
On this page, “Huachuma Foundation”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that corporation. This page covers huachumafoundation.org and everything reached through it.

Use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or the systems behind it, do not send unsolicited advertising through it, and do not use it in any way that would damage, disable or overburden it.
This website is not directed at children, and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone under 18.

Huachuma Works LLC is a limited liability company registered in Arizona and wholly owned by Huachuma Foundation, Inc. Any profit Huachuma Works LLC makes is returned to the Foundation and applied to its charitable purposes.
The Foundation runs the trainings in Peru through Huachuma Works LLC. Bookings are made with Huachuma Works, the applications, the dates and the prices are handled there, and its own terms apply to them. Those terms are at huachumaworks.com/legal/.
Huachuma Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 39-4000144. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Donations are voluntary. Card payments are handled by Stripe. The card field on our forms is served by Stripe inside our page, card details go straight to Stripe and are never held by this website, and Stripe’s terms apply to them.
Donations are not refundable, except where the law requires. If a gift was made in error, write to us at hello@huachumafoundation.org.
A monthly gift continues until it is canceled. Write to us to cancel one.
We strongly recommend that donors consult with their accountants and attorneys regarding the tax implications of their donations.
Adopting a cactus is a directed gift: a set amount from every adoption is applied to the preservation garden at Taray, and the balance supports the Foundation’s general operations. A general donation is unrestricted and funds all of the Foundation’s work.
A cutting is planted at Taray and you may give it a name. The plant stays in the garden and remains the Foundation’s. Nothing is sold and nothing is shipped to you.
Planting happens in batches, when we make site visits. The timing is not guaranteed to be immediate. We plant no less than once a year and typically several times a year.
What any individual donor may deduct depends on their own circumstances, and the Foundation makes no determination about it. Ask your accountant.
Shirts and sweatshirts are printed and sold by Threadless, on Threadless’s own site and under its terms. Your order is with Threadless, and the Foundation receives no income from it.
What the Foundation gets is the message being worn.
Huachuma Foundation, Inc. controls the information collected through this website.
What you give us: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form, what you enter when you make a donation or join the mailing list, and anything else you choose to send us. What arrives on its own: server logs and ordinary traffic figures, which say how the site is doing rather than who you are.
What you send through a form on this site is emailed to hello@huachumafoundation.org. Where a form stores its entries, they are held in this website’s own database, and you can ask us to delete yours.
We hold what you tell us for as long as we need it for the purpose you sent it, and donation records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross context advertising, as California defines those terms. That has never happened here.
This site runs on WordPress on Elementor’s hosting, and email it sends passes through Site Mailer, the mail service attached to that hosting. Type is served by Google Fonts. The mailing list is Flodesk, and its script loads on every page of this site. Donations go to Stripe. The forms run a Cloudflare Turnstile spam check. Videos are embedded from YouTube. The shop is Threadless. Each of those companies runs under its own privacy policy.
This site carries no advertising and no advertising trackers.
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@huachumafoundation.org and we will answer within 30 days, once we have confirmed who you are. Deletion covers everything except records we are required to keep.
Every email from our mailing list has an unsubscribe link and it works.
This site is operated from Arizona and information is stored in the United States.
WordPress sets a small number of cookies to run this site, and embedded content such as a video may set cookies from the company that serves it. Your browser controls cookies: set it to refuse or clear them and this site keeps working.
