## In the Ground what happens

A cutting is planted on the terraced hillside at Taray, and you can give it a name. We plant every cactus with prayers for the future.

A cutting goes in small. Growing one takes years.

The names stick: one Huachuma at Taray is called Larry, and one is called Hamid.

## The Painted Stones already adopted

Ayni, Kukuli and Nala, on the hillside at Taray. The stones began with the people who came to plant, naming their cactus and setting a painted rock beside it.
